Eqpt: Packard Bell PocketGear 2030, 256Mb SD Card, Wired Tom Tom GPS
Having a nightmare and hope someone can help. PDA Battery ran flat whilst I was on hols so thought it was just a question of reloading the software again. Reloaded TTN2 disc followed by the TTN3 upgrade disc. Loaded TTN3 maps onto the SD Card. Now TTN3 gives me the following message
"no maps found please install and activate an original tom tom nav 3 map first".
Tried reloading the maps a few times still the same message. Any ideas what I have done wrong?? By the way I can reinstal TTN2 with maps on their own and everything works fine. Don't want to revert to TTN2 after splashing out on the upgrade a few months back.
Thanks

Hi stev1e
I'd have thought the maps were still on the sd card as the hard reset wouldnt effect it. Are you sure your loading the TTN3 maps not the TTN2 maps as 3 wont read 2 maps. Can you see anything on the sd card now? (should be a folder called Great britain navigator map or similar)
I hope this helps
Regards

ive just had a very similar problem and i think its down to the SD card. i have a 128 card and 256 card, both with the maps installed, the 128 works but the 256 only sometimes works...installing the latest tomtom update 3.03 will allow the maps to be accessed on the 256 card.
try the update or maybe try another SD card. _________________ Ipaq 3970, Ipaq 2210 X2, Smart ST V1, Tomtom V3+V5, CoPilot V5, AA Navigator, Tomtom Bluetooth GPS, Navman 3450i Jacket, Navman Bluetooth GPS, Holux GM270, Fortuna GPS-PocketXtrack

Thanks for the replies Guys.
I loaded 3.03 from the Tom Tom Website. Reinstalled the maps and everything appears to be working fine now.
Thanks from a TTN3 user who hopefully won't lose his way again. :D
