There are some 7" Satnavs for Lorry/Motorhome/Caravan users on Ebay for under a hundred smackers ..
Has anyone on the forum got/tried one //
I have a TomTom XL which I am generaslly happy with, but would like to have something that 'knows' what I am driving .. but a £100 quid is a bit too much to lash out on something which might be a bit suspect .. |

I suppose it would help if they told you what software it was running! |

You could always ask the seller. My guess would be iGO.
The first software for this one looks like iGO Primo to me, the second is advertised as Sygic. |

Is iGo capable of doing everything that is being claimed?. If so, that's a great system. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

The iGO version does what it says on the tin. Including multipoint dropoffs and route optimisation.
Dont forget, on these there is no TMC traffic receiver built in and I don't know whether you can fit an external one? |

Someone at work had a unit with igo on it and although it was set for a lorry height of 13ft 2in it tried to route me under an 11ft bridge that I knew on my round, so how could I trust it anywhere else in the country?
Sygic for truck I've never tried |

Did you read the bit in one of the seller's comments that you have to put three times the truck height in with certain maps. I.e. a 16 foot truck is entered as 48 feet, or it does not work. Probably a meters/feet cockup in the S/W |

It might work, but let us know if he tries it and whether it works or not. |
