Does this unit have the correct approvals for compliance with French rules? As I understand it they have to have "NF" approval. Couldn't see this specifically stated on the website.
From what I have seen there are only a couple of "one-use" units, and a few (expensive) digital units out there labelled as "NF approved"

OK, so you are carrying oe with the NF mark (I thought that any EU country approved item would do, but I suppose we are talking about France here). Now what? You are unlikely to use a 'one time' one and surely the Gendarmes would not go by your tester results? Seems like a Cameron/Clegg/Brown/Blaire badly thought through law to me. |

Imagine the Gendarmes catch you still pi$$ed from the night before AND there is an unused tester in your car. I think the phrase translates as comme une tonne de briques

Don't forget you are also carrying a Hi-viz vest [by law]. Presumably to be worn when drinking? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

IN the car, not the boot....(obligatory for driver, advisable also to have them for passengers)
...and don't forget the "good samaritan" law in France
