I just checked back my records and apparently this won't get fixed until the 2012.06/895 maps! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I assume this is not something you can fix yourself with Mapshare? |

How do you get this info, Andy?
I've had a couple of changes accepted by TeleAtlas - "The change you suggested has now been made. It will go out with the next release of our map database". However, I don't know when these will make it to the TomTom maps. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

I've had lots of updates accepted by teleatlas, but it seems to take at least 9 months for them to appear on TomTom maps...that's the 21st century for you... |

I'm amused to see one of mine is "Not Accepted"...
Quote: | TomTom has been unable to make this correction to our map. This doesn’t necessarily mean that your report is wrong. We may need more data or we may need to adjust other parts of our map in order to accommodate the change. In this case we add the area to a “to do” list of major map changes, but we are unable to fix it at this point. |
I reported the same change to Navteq and it was in the very next map release on my Garmin Nuvi. Not bad going. Why are TomTom so slow? |

Purchased Map Updates on 20/03. However mytomtom is still showing "device is up to date".
I have maps 875 and expect an update.
Does this recent update work properly. Is there another step required? |

Fair play to TomTom with this.
I contacted their customer service. A couple of days later they replied that the product hadn't been properly applied to my account. Not sure how buy not to worry. They then fixed it and added on 6 months of additional map updates for the same price (which I believe is the current promotion).
All downloaded ok and is working. |

I am having trouble buying map updates. I still have an active subscription but want to order another map update service as it will come with 6 updates and I have an £8 off code to use.
However when I click the link on the website it opens HOME and all I get offered is various maps. No actual "Map Update Service"? My maps are running off the microSD and I have the latest 885.4009 installed.
Anyone else had problems buying the Map Update Service for a 940? |

I think the promo £8 offer has small print saying you can't use it for maps - I think you have to buy a new device or accessory!
I also think the six months extra offer can only be got at if you don't have an existing subscription - I've been offered the extended offer for all my expired devices (e.g. Nav 6, Nav 7, GO520, GO700, GO710, XL Live and no doubt a load more whose email addresses I no longer monitor), but not for the two which are already under map update service (Carminat and GO550 Live). _________________ Dennis

Hi Dennis,
It does look like the update can only be bought when the current subscription has ended. Tomtom support seem to think it should still be possible to buy it and it gets added to the end of the current subscription but I don't think that is the case.
I managed to use the £8 discount offer on my LIVE subs and someone else claims to have used the code against a map update subscription.
I will just have to let the subscription end and see what the offer is when it is time to renew, or not renew and save some cash. |

Strangely enough tonight when I updated my GO 550 Live to latest firmware (9.430) after it had downloaded I noticed a line at the bottom offering map update subscription with 6 months extra. I didn't follow up on it as my current subscription was bought last August and had six months extra with it. And if I'm still willing to stay with TomTom in February 2013 I'll be surprised! _________________ Dennis

I get that sales banner too. Clicking it just makes it check available maps and display them all but with no "Map Update Service".
On the devices that you do get it offered do you see the various maps but also see an item that states "Map Update Service"? I can't remember from last time so am not really sure what I should be expecting to see.
I have to say my 940 is working great and even with the latest firmware I still seem to have Bluetooth file transfer available that I expected to see removed. Touch wood the GPS issue affecting many stays away as I am on the road a lot next week!
I am happy to extend the map update service as I currently see no reason to invest in a newer device. |

Can someone check this map error when you plan a route from NR135DN to Bixley (Norwich) preferably not on a GO1000.
On map v885 it lets me join the A47 from Hall Road even though this is a blocked road with no access to or from the A47.
Google maps route planning is correct in routing via Church Road to and from the A47, but on my TomTom GO1000 I get incorrectly routed from Hall Road direct to the A47.
I have registered the error on the TomTom Mapshare Reporter site. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,
