Can somebody tell me why when i download photos from Google Earth to my Active 10 i get the text but not the photo? I am running with version 1.500 Platform 21 and have just downloaded satsync so i think it must be latest version. If i download a POI with photos attached then they appear. Thanks

I'm not sure that it is working.

There are two things that I am aware of that you can do in google earth.

You will need to have the "always download pictures if valid links are available in gpx KMl/KMZ or tab delimited file"

1) Search in the fly to box e.g. "Places of interest Oxford" this will bring you up a list of places, right click on on one of them or the folder and save as a kmz or kml file. then import in to satmap. this seems to be working.

2) right click on a photo in google earth and save to my places then right click in my places to save as a kml/kmz. - this does not seem to be working.

Which one are you trying?

Thanks for the response Gibbo.

The issue is that I do not have a Fly to box in Google Earth, just a Search Box. If i could find this like your option 1 i am hopeful it would work. I therefroe am doing your Option 2 which does not work. Can anybody help me with Google Earth Fly To Tab?

I've been in contact with Satmap today and they have looked into the issue and can confirm that it isn't working. The issue seems to be that that google earth have stopped putting the direct link to the photo in the file. However, the clever chaps have already identified a fix and hopefully it won't be too long before we see it as a satsync update.

What version of Google Earth are you on? I think that you need to be on version 6 my version is
Google Earth
6.1.0.5001

help then about google earth will tell you.

The fly to box is the search box in the top right hand corner

If you right click on an image you should get something like the following result, once it is fixed.

If you use the search box e.g. "places of interest oxford" and then right click one of the results you should get something like. the following
