I am still using my trusty TomTom ONE 3rd edition and I have just updated to the latest Europe 1GB North map. I also have the PGPSW camera database loaded. The problem is that now on some cameras the TomTom camera beeps as does the PGPSW database.
In the past I'm sure I've removed the TomTom data but I cannot for the life of me remember how. Can anyone help!! _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

I have already looked at this section and no Safety Camera are listed as installed on my ONE apart from the PGPSW ones in the POI section. Perhaps it's not the TomTom Cameras list that is causing the double beep.
I think I'll try removing all the PGPSW ones and see what happens then. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

are there cameras on either side of the road as this could be causing the double beep as its actually seeing 2 cameras a distance apart. |

When that situation occurs I get four beeps! _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

Are they all the same beep or different?
Can you try changing the beep you use for the PGPSW camera for a different one, to see if you can differentiate between the different alerts?
Did you know you can have a spoken warning for the PGPSW cameras instead of just a beep? You can opt for anything from a concise "Speed camera - 30" up to the much more wordy "Warning speed camera ahead; speed limit. 30 miles per hour". _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I think I may have found the problem. I had it set to beep on speed cameras by speed and by cameras in general for both Gatso and Average Speed Cameras. I have deleted the two general ones and certainly the two cameras I past this morning only beeped once.
My car is at a specialist for a couple of days having the wheels painted but when I get it back I will try a few more camera locations and see what happens.
One of the reasons I changed to the PGPSW database originally is because the previous one I was using (Road Pilot) always used to announce each camera with a long voice announcement and there was no way to change it. I much prefer the simple 'beep beep'. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

I have now done some further 'testing' with different speed cameras and the problem is now solved.
It was down to having both the general Gatso and Average Speed POI set to beep as well as the specific speed value POI. Having removed the beep from the general POIs I now only get a single beep for each camera. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)
