When I attach my etrex 20 to the pc I have a folder called called custom symbols which I am presuming is for waypoint markers, I have downloaded a few and have managed to get 1 to appear in Basecamp, I have tried and searched but cant manage to get 1 to appear on the unit itself.
Has anyone done this?

Done, the custom ones I downloaded to have a look at yesterday were not 24 bit bmp, now I have read that they work after altering in paint.
