From a TomTom Employee
Quote: |
9.401 has been released to production and is now available in TomTom HOME for download.
This should solve the 1008 error for all affected UK customers with an 540, 740 and 940 device. |

Going to try it now. I used the chat facility this morning to Customer Support who repeated that no timescale could be given for a fix and now we have this! _________________ TT GO 1005 |

Because Customer Support and Technical don't speak to each other? _________________ TT GO 1005 |

I was somewhat nervous when I did just now update to 9.401 as my 940 had been fitted with the updated SIM card and had been working ok with 9.400
So far, he says crossing fingers, all appears to be working OK
If any problems do arise I will re post |

You've not worked in customer support have you?
The very idea that they might talk to each other... |

Still the very long delay on connecting to Live Services as in 9.058 so this fix does not really work. Its been 5 mins so far and still cannot connect to TomTom live services but I have network connection. _________________ Drivelux |

Also if I go into browse map and as soon as I touch the screen it locks up and reboots about 30 seconds later.
Update; it took a full factory reset to get it to work without locking up. This was not the mapsettings.cfg file as it still works when this is restored. Still an unacceptable delay in connecting to live services. _________________ Drivelux

Does this apply to North America device (Map) ? I connected to TomTom Home and is offered this update today but I am kind of hesitated to download this if this is only meant for European device _________________ XL340TM, App 9.510 OS 842337

I'm reading that this update is for all devices that recently got 9.400, is this correct? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
