|
I have just done the update on my Start 20 and finally it appears to have the MicroSD card slot enabled.
I have a 128Mb MicroSD card which TomTom says must be formatted, but it appears not to be able to complete the format.
I have checked the card on my laptop and it appears to be OK.
Any suggestions please? |

What causes you to say it doesn't appear to complete the format?
What were you planning to put on a 128 mb card, anyway? Not much room for an additional map. _________________ David |

The TomTom device shows the message "Unable to complete format, the memory card cannot be used"
I have done a bit of research and it would appear that the card has to be a minimum 2GB. Perhaps that is the problem.
I wasn't thinking of using such a small card, just trying it out now that it has finally been enabled by TomTom

I put an 8Gb mircoSDHC into my Via 120 and the format message popped up straight away. It took less than a minute to format and it all works well. Just downloaded my US map on to the card. |

Bought a new 4gb card today.
Worked first time
I'm guessing that it will only work on a minimum size card. |
