Lets hope this is the start of the rollout for all of the units, and replaces the infamous 9.058. Oh and that it actually works. _________________ Go 940 (deceased) Live 1000.

There are some of us who consider this an inferior change in functionality.
I really hope there is a big outcry about this, I think it's awful!
Whenever you are searching, you can now only select the top item on a list - you can SEE the next one down, but cannot get at it without expanding the list down. For example, start typing L-O-N... for London and you can only select "Lonan" now.

Rubbish! Try entering a postcode now... You have to keep switching between letters and numbers. Takes much longer. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Be careful what you wish for! You might find yourself preferring 9.058.
I know many people have had Traffic reception difficulties with it but personally I've not had much trouble with it and will be sorry to see it go. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Hell would freeze over first, 9.058 has been an unmitigated disaster for me, however thanks to your excellent advice I have backups of my operating systems and have used 8.371 for over 12 months now. So even if us x40 users are offered an update I will be able to "roll back" if it's no good. _________________ Go 940 (deceased) Live 1000.
The following ones look like they might be interesting and of posible use to me. Sceptical but I'll download this evening and see how I get on!

Love the new Speed Limit indicator - I can see it at a glance, at last, also the speed camera feature (viewer and reported) is superb - best I've seen on any format. Classic improvement! And about time with the auto on/off feature
Also think the keyboard / destination address selector improved, easier to select with my chunky fingers!!!
Nice! _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Xtraseller - Have you noticed how your POI warnings often don't get shown on screen now, when the new "Please help us improve our crap camera data by telling us if it's really there" icon is showing?
Have you noticed how you can now only select the very top item in any search window. You can SEE the second item but you can't select it without expanding the list down. (makes searching for "London" a pain as you get a place called "Lonan" first when you type L-O-N-)
Have you noticed how the "improved" keyboard layout still requires multiple switching between letter and number screens just to enter a postcode? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Haven't noticed the poi issue, may see that today
Keyboard not a problem of update as wasn't expecting it - but agree it would be nice on 5" version at least (my be too small for me otherwise) and while annoying used to this function on almost everything!
As for L-o-n I try to avoid it! _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

One or two menu items have gone. The option to reduce the menus to a more simple selection has gone (not that I miss it). I don't seem to be able to find an option to change the warning sound for going too fast (not that I do). On the whole, I think it's an improvement. Just being able to use a memory card and having the thing turn on automatically makes it worthwhile.
First journey with it this morning and I can report:
Alternative route viewer: It doesnt show the alternative, it just switches to it when prompted without telling you what the alternative is first.
Speed Cam icon changes: Overall a big improvement. All they need to do is have proper data (sourced from PGPSW?) and it would be excellent.
Average speed display: This works well. It would have been a stoke of genius if PGPSW had not done it first in CamerAlert...
Quicker start-up: Really?
Improved zoom: Tinkered with the look/feel and a marginal improvement.
Auto on/off: A no-brainer and should have been there from the start. _________________ Device: GO 600, Live connected via iPhone 5.
