|
|
Hello all, interested in any advice on which model to go for next as the 920T has been playing up recently.
Requirements are simple, but are not obviously met looking at tomtom website - Full European maps, North American maps (own them on the 920T), live traffic, large screen.
I am in the US in March if it makes more sense buying over there.
Many thanks,
Matt. |

How about a 940 Live or 950 live? |

Agreed, 940 or 950 live were/are the best devices ever produced!
Do not buy in the US as the LIVE will not work here in Europe.
Currently LIVE works Europe wide if you pay Tomtom the appropriate subscription with a European model. The same is true if you buy a unit in the USA to use in the USA.

What's up with the Go920?
The only two common issues are duff battery, and dying internal memory... both of which are fixable. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Thanks for the recommendations.
Andy, the battery is near dead, but I’ve not got an issue running it from the cable, the big pain for me is the ETA showing the current time rather than arrival time more often than not. |

You should be able to turn off 'current time' on the status bar preference screen. _________________ David |

It's not 'current time' showing, it's ETA displaying as the current time and moving forward as the journey progresses. Which is rubbish! |

Must admit that's a new one on me!
What software version is it running? (tap the satellite bars to find out)
Have you tried re-installing the software? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

It might be something the Clear Flash Tool might cure. _________________ Richard
