Sorry if I'm being thick, are you saying that if you follow the video tutorial, you can't get the installation of the voice files to work?
Or are you saying you can't actually view the video?
If that's the case, and you are looking at this page you may need to download an extension for your browser to make the Windows Media video show up (I did).
Or you could try clicking on the Quicktime version instead and see if you already have the extension for that.
What error messages do you see, if any?
There are a set of written instructions too - here, but the best instructions for adding the OGG audio files are still at tthe bottom of the OLD page here. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

No Im getting the tutorial alright now, what Im not getting is on my TT one of the pages that is being shown the sound option page that is shown on the instruction vidio, isnt coming up on my TT 750 e.g choose and option for voice instruction coming up to petrol stations etc; that should come up before the bell warnings. |

And can you confirm in which folder you have saved the .ogg files on your device? _________________ Darren Griffin |

And map folder is called what? Just to clarify, the database files don't go in the folder called 'map' but the map folder whose name will depend on what map it is you have installed i.e. United_Kingdom or Western_Europe etc etc
Also, have you unzipped all the files before placing in the folder? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The voice files don't change so they would be dated for when they were created.
Clearly something is going awry but I'm at a loss as to what.
If you follow our written guide here, at what stage does it go wrong?
You won't see sItem 8 if you are using our voice files and have installed them in the map folder, it will jump to item 9 "Is this the sound you want to select"
Could this be where the confusion is arising? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Bit of a long shot but have you got your map installed to a memory card and putting the spoken alerts in to the map folder on the device per chance?
Being a 750 the latest European map doesn't fit unless you compromise it by accepting a zonned map, putting the full Euro map on a memory card is the usual option but can get tricky when installing POI files unless you know which drive letter is internal storage or flash card - Mike |

Double check whichmap is selected for use, Change Preferences/ Manage Maps/ Switch Maps.
It could be you have loaded all the required files to one map on the memory card but the device is set to use the map on the internal memory thus not giving you the expected result when setting up the POI warnings - Mike |
