I can't say any more, but that does NOT mean they have stopped producing software updates for those models.

But to the general public it certainly DOES give that impression...

Its been 15 months since I (and many others) reported major issues with 9.058 and I have had minimal responses from TT ever since, I am using 8.371 instead, and I love it, but obviously have to do work arounds (discussed elsewhere-thanks Andy P) to stop HOME forcing 9.058 on to me.

How long do TT expect users to wait for a fix? My LIVE subscription is up next month and I dont think I will be renewing until the issues are resolved, I know I have a work around but it grates with me that I have had an update forced on me that doesn't work and yet TT have done nothing in over 12 months about the situation.

Apart from adding a disclaimer, will it fix bugs, add features or remove features?

I'll take that as a 'yes' - and if it doesn't, we'll all come looking.....

If the answer is yes to all 3 questions then its not necessarily a good thing Confused

If all features were removed, what was left could not go wrong. Wink

True. I'll settle for 2 out of 3.

Good point, it's the future of TT. Send out empty boxes, no faults, no complaints, no whining customers. Very Happy

So, according to TomTom's corporate web site, all consumer products are to get a software update. If this is true and users of old models that are no longer supported get problems with the update then they are unlikely to be able to get help with it from TomTom.

Where will that leave TomTom's HD traffic data if everyone opts out of sharing their location data?

Reliant on Vodafone movements only = a step back in quality of data?

As far as I'm aware the information that TomTom are asking you to share is for 'Historic' purposes only and IQ routes which relies historic information. HD Traffic is current and comes from Vodafone, I don't think any TomTom devices are set up to send back Live Traffic info.

The SIM card in the LIVE units also provides live feedback. IIRC

Yup - if you yank it out you'll see it's a Vodafone SIM card. I've always been intrigued as to whether that would work in a phone when roaming around Europe to get free data Wink
