1. I have Sygic 11.2.1 on my Galaxy S2 but the option for text to speech is greyed out. What do I need to do to activate it please?
2. I appear to have only one voice available for Sygic. Are there more available? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2460LT

To start off with you should upgrade from the market - the latest version is 11.2.3. It is free to do and it may solve your problems.
I am not sure what you mean by greyed out for TTS - mine are chosen as standard - they have a tick next to them and I can't change that. Having said that they make some interesting pronunciations.
There should be lots of voices available under settings / Regional / voice - just click on that to see the list. There are two English UK - I use Simon, as well as one for Australia and one for USA. And then lots of other languages. They are all computer generated I think. Although it may be that you have chosen one that isn't, which may explain you not getting TTS _________________ Peter

I'm presuming that I need to use a TTS voice for Text to speech.
The only UK English one is TTS Simon but I was looking for a TTS female voice.
Apologies for the confusion.
Also, I haven't tried this voice on a journey yet so haven't checked it out.
So far I've only used the UK Simon voice and that doesn't appear to give TTS, at least not as I've been used to with TomTom e.g. street names. As I couldn't change the TTS setting I presumed it was 'greyed out' and unavailable.
I'm off for a trip tomorrow and will give it a good test.
Thanks for your help so far. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2460LT

Go to settings / regional. 2nd line down should be Voice - it is English UK (Simoan) as default I think. Just click on that and up should open a whole list for you to choose from including English UK (Emma) who is very public school.
You find the TTS under settings / notifications & sounds / voice instructions. They should all be ticked as standard. You can choose street names, traffic messages (if you have traffic) and road numbers. _________________ Peter
