You need to do it via Satsync, available free from Satmap.com
http://www.satmap.co.uk/download-satsync.php
Install Satsync on your computer, connect the Active 10 with the USB lead to your computer, then drag and drop the geocaches into Satsync to load either onto the SD card or the unit itself,or both.
That's how I do it anyway.

It is worth becoming a Premium Member of geocaching.com - you can then download the GPX file from each individual cache page or create a pocket query with all the caches in a defined area. Both methods will allow you to read the full text about a cache, plus the last four logs, on your Satmap.
Non-Premium Members can only download the cache coordinates for individual caches. |

If you are using the firefox V8 browser (I dont think it has been updated for the 8.1 yet) you can get an add on called Geocaching.com gpx downloader.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/geocachingcom-gpx-downloader/
A clever little addon that puts a gpx icon at the top of your browser and will download a gpx file to your pc from the cache page without having a premium membership. It takes the geocaching page and converts it to a gpx file that can be read by your GPS then all you have to do is to import the gpx files to the SATSYNC program and convert them as usual and download them to the satmap. Brilliant.
The addon doesnt give as much info as a premium membership but it does give you full details of the cache, logs and spoilers hints photos etc. |
