That was just a .jpg preview, you would need the .bmp version to avoid this issue. I made it from a screen grab so it isn't perfect but try this one:

Thanks one-lover.
The forum can only accept .jpg image to show, but it's much better if the original .bmps can be used for the actual icon on the TomTom.
(This is because the compression used in .jpgs can stop the red background being pure red, and so if you use the .jpg you end up getting bits of red showing on screen).
Any chance you can host the .bmps somewhere and link to them as well?
Or I think Darren will host them if you send them to him. (Hope that's still the case, Darren!) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

If you send any cursor files to me, I can do the necessary so they are available as .bmp files and previewed as .jpg's.
Also, with the authors permission I can add them to our download page. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Some more info would help. What device? How does it not work? Does it appear in the menu for you to choose? PC or Mac?
I've tested the Spitfire and it works fine here.
If you email me the one you created I can see if it's OK? darren [AT] pocketgpsworld.com _________________ Darren Griffin |

Using 2D view or 3D View? It only shows in 3D View. _________________ Dennis

|
|
For info, in the TOM TOM V1.3 Android app. they have changed to using .png files 128x128 32 bit depth.
You can change the symbols but you need to name it the same as one of the ones in the art folder. Also you need to have a transparent background not the red we were using for the hardware models.
(MOD edit to make it clearer this is relevant for the Android app. only) |

I was looking for a Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay or Peugeot Boxer cursor, but there isn't one.
How can I get one included, or is there a way to make my own, or some app/software to make a photo become a cursor. |
