This sounds counter-intuitive, but here is how it is done. Menu / Navigate to / Favourites. Then hit the Add button on the bottom right of the screen and then choose "my current position". It took me a while to find it too. _________________ Peter

Hi peter
Thank you for your reply. I test now I work like 123.
By the way I hope you can share with me on this. in the past I notice Tom Tom or Papago is the best , why sudden sygic over take these 2 apps . It is because they provide Sdk ?

Tom Tom do not have an Android (or WM) app. They seem to have abandoned those platforms in favour of iphone and their own PNDs only. I had never heard of Papago so can't comment. I think it is only available in parts of Asia, but has no market penetration at all in Europe or USA as far as I can see.
Sygic is based in the Czech Republic in Eastern Europe. It uses Tom Tom maps. _________________ Peter

Hi peter
May I know why Tom Tom allow sygic to use their map ?
Only sygic gps allow develop to access sygic SDK , Tom Tom does not have SDK.
BY the way I notice sygic app link with contact. I never try it . Do you find it good feature ?

There are only two major suppliers of mapping data worldwide - Teleatlas (as it used to be called) and Navteq. Teleatlas was taken over by Tom Tom in 2007 and has now been renamed Tom Tom maps. Navteq was taken over by Nokia a year or so later. Teleatlas is a different division of TT and licences its maps to all sorts of organisations, including Sygic. Navteq does the same. They both do it for the same reason - money.
Tom Tom dropped their SDK a long time ago - not just for apps but also for their own PNDs. AFAIK Sygic do not have an SDK either - I have never seen 3rd party add-ons for their GPS, other than POIs.
As for links with contacts list, like all Sat nav apps, it is very fussy. You have to have put all of the address components in the correct fields when you first entered them. So it worts for some contacts but not others. Why not just try it yourself and see?? _________________ Peter

Tab marked "my account" at the top of the page. Then "your info" and tick the "yes" box on "always notify me of replies". _________________ Peter
