It's related to installing our database so is in the subscriber only section.
Delndi wrote: | I have just subscribed and downloaded the latest database and have a couple of problems.
1. It has corrupted about 20 of my favourites renaming them with numbers such as 84.25, 85.69, 87.14 and declassifying them from the category they were in such as "customer" or "hotel" and displaying them as "favouites". I then have to go through each one reclassifying them
2. I can only get the Garmin "bong " sound and not voice alerts
3. It is alerting on every camera on both sides of the road and not just the ones on my side
4. Since downloading the database the Nuvi has frozen twice - both times just before motorway exits causing a 6 or 7 mile detour. The Nuvi has never frozen before |
And my reply:

Have you downloaded and installed one of our voice packs? And if so, have you downloaded the correct version? Some Garmin's support .wav voice files, other .mp3, and you must install the correct type.
Garmin have no facility to warn for cameras on one side or the other. They reserve this for their own service only.
We have had no other reports of issues from Garmin users and we have many so I'm at a loss as to what to suggest. What version of POILoader are you using? |

I can partly answer it. The renaming of favourites like that is well documented and previous example have occurred after a software update. There are 2 options to solve it.
Either rename/edit them all individually or reload the previous GPX file, if you have a copy. |

bong instead of voice alerts prob caused by
1. not having same named wav files in POILoad folder
or
2. not having the SOX file in the same folder as the files before running POILoader |

alerting both sides of road? Is it a directional set?
Maybe the database has been installed twice (easy to do ive done it) usually by giving different name to POI file in POILoader. Easy to check in Where To; Extras; Custom POIs and check listings |

NB sox.exe belongs in the same folder as PoiLoader.exe
