|
|
I have been driving recently down a road which has four speed cameras within about a quarter of a mile, two in each direction.
Although all 4 are displayed on the screen, only one of the cameras is giving a warning.
I would expect two alerts (based on my travel direction) and am only getting the second one.
Both application and cameras are up to date.
Running on HTC Desire Android 2.2 |

if they are in close succession then you may only get one warnings - this is by design. Basically you are still 'under threat' so the speed limit will still be in operating in the app until you pass the final threat and get the all clear.

If that were the case then I would expect to get the first alert, but I only get the second |

ah, sorry - i missed that part!!
can you give me the ID numebrs or road/town etc and I can take a look. We may have the heading slightly wrong, or if it is after a corner it may not be picking it up n time etc.

Having looked at your submissions page (to find the camera ID), I think that the issue may be the direction.
I believe that Gatso 3425 should be for the opposite direction.
I have submitted a change |

yep, just seen the submission. while i know it's not 100% accurate, streetview does show the camera as catching traffic heading north-west (heading 295)
satellite view also only shows lines for vehicles heading north-west.
i've added it as awaiting verification.

Don't usually drive home that way.
I will have a closer look tomorrow morning on the way in
Does seem a bit strange to have 3 cameras in one direction and one in the other, but I guess that could be due to history of accidents in the area |

Hang on a min....
Again, I'm only going by Streetview, but GATSO:3424 looks like it has the wrong heading as well.
It's shown with the arrow pointing north but it's catching traffic going south.
For all of them, it says "heading value from M8TJT", maybe he remembers? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

3424 is 'wrong' based on streetview so have now updated this. perhaps ItsMikeE simply located the wrong one on the submission map?

May well be the case.
Will drive in that way tomorrow, then check on PGPS maps

If you download the database in the app before setting off then you should find it all works properly now |

Downloaded the new database and when I drove in I got the first alert
Unfortunately I seemed to lose the GPS signal for a minute or two and didn't get the second one (but that one has always been fine in the past)
Thanks for your help on this.
Still not managed to get a new camera in the database, but I have finally made a difference |
