With 9.061 I can't find any option to deselect auto-switch on? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

See Ian's post above... It looks like they've combined it with the 'auto-off' selection option now. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

If you select auto-off in Battery Saving Preferences, that setting is lost every time the device reboots eg on disconnecting from Home. But it still has auto-on, so seems no way of changing it? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

I've just checked this & as far as the settings go my 550 is the same, the setting is lost when disconnecting from home but it never the less continues to switch on & off with power connect / disconnect ie
Disconnect from home - disconnect from power 550 goes off
Power connect - 550 on
Power disconnect - 550 off etc etc
On checking the Power Saving setting the box is ticked but the 550 ignores it.
Untick the box & then tick it again & it then seems to function correctly as per the setting. I think the reboot screws up that command & it appears to be ticked when in fact it is not _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Also found that the update scrambled third party POI icons and titles eg the National trust icon was captioned 'Kia Dealers England and Wales'. Removed the POIs and reloaded - fine now.
Edit: Should have said I noticed this in the 'Warn when near POI' section. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

My 550 doesn't seem to have rebooted since upgrade - has TomTom fixed it or am I had a lucky week? _________________ J. |

Don't fret it'll be back to normal with the next update & maybe with a few extra reboots to compensate |

Of course that requires me to connect it to TomTom Home - which only happened because I had a full backup _________________ J. |

I've had a couple of reboots, both times seemed linked to problem with connecting to Live services. Have also had to reboot once when voice guidance ceased to work. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

it always seemed related to Live Services in ver 9.58 and I am sure it seemed to change how often when they altered the range of the Traffic (I wonder whether it was bad packets from server caused the process to crash) _________________ J. |

ditto...
More worrylingly for me is that the TT now simply freezes for no apparent reason.
I've also noticed that it does appear to take a bit longer to get a GPS signal.
Still...it boots up on ignition now..which is nice! _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD

DaveNN, I had that problem as well. Ran clearflash tool 3 times and all seems to be OK now. |

The auto-on function seems independent of the battery saving option for 'shut down when disconnected from power'. I suspect that the device may shut down after a certain period of inactivity - I just haven't wanted to hang around to see it actually happen? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
