I have had a look through search and RDS reception seems to be a problem though has not been mentioned for a few months.
Just got a receiver for my brothers XL and it is taking forever to download information, I have had a look at the settings and they are set for UK the other options being any country (strongest signal) and Ireland.
Tried connecting to home to see if there is any update but there is none.
The device is up to date with navcore 8.010 installed together with the latest UK map anyone any ideas (I know its not the quickest system in the world but this seems to be really slow. Thanks for any help. _________________ Malcolm

It does sometimes take a while to connect/download.
I used to travel from Farborough to Stockbridge, 35 miles, around 40 minutes, didn't get connected until the last 10 miles. Going in the opposite direction it connected in a couple of minutes and worked all the way. |

Thanks for that Trooper I shall have to do some field testing on it and note the times taken.
Am iside the M25 area so would have thought signal strength would not be a problem.
I am also presuming that having it set to UK is the best option. _________________ Malcolm

Inside London's orbital car park should give you excellent RDS TMC. Both Capital and Classic provide strong signals.
I'm thinking it could be an aerial problem. _________________ DashCam:

Thanks for that Kremmen will be onto it ASAP but you have confirmed what I thought that the signal strength in the London area must be high. _________________ Malcolm
