|
|
I updated my ONE a a days ago with the latest map version. I had to choose a section to load because it said the memory was too small for the whole map.
Today I went out where I no there are some speed cameras but the ONE never gave any warnings and there were no indications of cameras on the map.
When I got home I downloaded the latest PGPSW data and re-installed it into the correct map file on the ONE. When I look at the ONE through my
PC all the files are there. When I go in to Manage POIs to check the warning distance etc the speed cameras do not show at all.
Anyone any ideas what I should do now! _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

Take a closer look at the POI files using Windows Explorer to show the Europe map folder contents on the device, the files need to be ov2 and bmp files per POI category installed - Mike |

Yes all the ov2 files and the BMP files are there.
Something else I've just noticed - when I click Manage POIs only the TomTom POIs show in the list. All the others I've added are there in the file listing but do not show up list in Manage POIs.
Also when I comapre my ONE with my wife's ONE (and I'm not being rude!) my Manage POIs screen only has two item highlighted - Warn when near POI and Add POI category - the other four a 'greyed out'. On my wife's all six are highlighted.
If I click Add POI catergory on mine and enter Audi for example the catagory for Audi appears on the list but if I try to navigate to my local Audi dealer it say No POIs found although if I look at the file listing there is a Audi.ov2 file and an Audi.bmp file.
I feel a restore from backup coming on!! _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

Just a guess, but is the new map stored in a different folder to the previous map? If so, the POI files need to be moved from the old to the new map folder. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Daggers you are right. Because the new updated map could not be downloaded in one piece because of it's size the download put the new map in a folder named Europe_1GB_North rather than the previous Western_Europe_1GB.
I have now copied all the ov2 and bmp files from the old to the new folder and every seems to be OK.
Thanks a lot for your suggestion. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)
