Becker Map Pilot

Just bought a new C Class with a Becker Map pilot installed. Can I load my Speed Cameras into this product and if so which Database is used?

Ditto would like to do this also if possible.

Using the camera alert on the iphone 4 doesn't work that well through the media interface (have to have the ipod playing to hear the notices!)

We'd need to establish what, if any, support it has for custom POIs. Any mention of this in the manual?

Does the Becker Content Manager from here give any clues. The downloadable user guide does not, as said above Sad

In the past, Becker have been known to use iGO Nav software. If this is the case here, and you can 'get at' the device fie system, it's almost definite that you will be able to use the PGPSW database Very Happy

The screen dumps in the user guide don't look like iGO, but iGOs UI is extremely configurable to make it look just the way you want it to (if you are clever enough Very Happy

Do you have any linkes to a user-guide, review of the system or images of it so we know what we're looking at?

Does the device have any SD card or USB access?

I am at work so will have to have a look when home but I know it has USB access for updating the maps and loading Becker POIs. I dont think it has a SD card.

Nice unit! About time Mercedes dropped Command, that was a pile of wottsits, I know, I had one.

Well I can see that you unplug the brains and connect to your computer via USB, and that it uses The Content Manager software.

So the first thing you need to do is plug it in and see if that throws any light on matters?

Just hooked it up to my laptop and you have full access to the file system including the Nav program and all the map details. They are .psf files???
