Any idea how this would cope with a dashboard wiped with a silicon 'enhancer' such as Cockpit Shine? Seems to stop everything else from sticking. |

Ah well Darren, you're probably right when you say 'A cursory look at eBay throws up quite a few, none of which appear to have the sticky padded base'.
I'll let you know once the one I ordered arrives!

Have used a staystuck mat for a couple of years and think it is the greatest! the link is: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/staystuck-pad-suction-mount-p22631.htm and at the moment cost £9.99
They are easily washed, handle silicone on the dashboard and also retain any .other items (such as keys, spectacles or phones ) placed on them.
Mobilefun also supplied a large "staystuck" pad that was a godsend n the dashboard for holding items, but it now is discontinued. |

This bit is my new message:
Well the £9.99 version arrived - it's got a very tactile rubber base and today performed faultlessly over quite bumpy roads and sideways thrusts on roundabouts. Save yourself a tenner and buy off ebay.

PS How do you get a quote to appear properly? Just clicking the quote button doesn't do it. |

You press the quote button in the message you wish to quote. That creates a new message with the text quoted. Edit the quoted message to include only the text you require and add your own comments. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thank you. When I tried last time I just saw the formatting codes before and after the quote. |

Does a great job but unfortunatley Tom Tom go suction mount is not long enough so screen is angled up so catches more glare.
Anyone know if there is a Go suction pad with longer arm? |

Just tried and their site seems to have disappeared - either system problems or they have stopped trading - Time will tell.
Shame if they have gone as I gave them as stocking fillers last xmas and had intended to buy more this year. |

More likely just an issue with their host or web server. MobileFun aren't a fly by night operation. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The link is now working - must have been a temporary system problem. |
