Hi all....
Currently (as my name suggest) i have a TT one V3, ive just seen a TT 710 in CEX for £90
Ive got the cash for it but a couple of questions first..
1) Apart from the slightly larger screen, is there much of a difference between my current unit and the 710, in terms of what it can do.?
2) is the price fair for a second hand unit or can they be found cheaper elsewhere.?
3) is there any known issues with them, such as screen failure or board/battery issues that i should be aware of.?
4) will i have to buy maps for the unit if there isnt any on it or can i use the maps i have on my TT1, i read a post on here by Mike where he says

does this just apply to updates, if it does then for £90 and the cost of the maps (£30-40) I might as well just consider buying a new unit with the lastest maps on it.

The mount was crap and caused lots of issues, the battery will be five years old and well past its best, the battery is not an easy DIY fix on these models as it was the first item fitted when the device was assembled.
£90 for a second hand 710, walk away and look for something else its way over priced - Mike |

And you WON'T be able to transfer existing maps to it from the ONE.
(TT won't usually even transfer subscriptions for future maps if you just buy a new unit, you have to plead a good reason like theft or breakage) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
