They are/were Watchman cameras. I don't know whether they are still there, but have a read of this thread and you'll understand why you may not have seen them - they are almost camouflaged! The cameras come paired with a speed display sign. _________________ Dennis

The camera ID's you have given are indeed the Watchman type which you tend to find around the South East part of Manchester and its outer regions, here is a Google street view of Gatso 59
No doubt what type that is, they tend to be painted dark green although there are some dark blue ones and at least on I have seen thats postbox red!
That said they could have been recently removed, I will check the road soon as I am often in and around the Manchester/ Hyde area - Mike |

Mike
I think you meant the Watchmen were gathered around the Eastern area of Greater Manchester.
These were only installed in the Tameside Council Area, at the time of purchase the council thought they would become approved speed devices but they never were.
There was a period when drivers caught exceeding the speed limit, via these devices, received an official looking letter warning the driver he had exceeded the speed limit but obviously no penalty could be applied.
Sorry but I don't know what they are doing with them now but they used to be painted blue. _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

Indeed, isn't Tameside Council Area the South East sector of Greater Manchester? - Mike |
