Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

Having downloaded some POI'S from the list, I tried to load them onto an SD card but the POI loader said that I had exceeded the 32 allowable sub categories. So does that mean that you can only have for instance, up to 32 pubs, cafes, places of interest etc.

Sort of. 32 categories eg pubs, cafes, chippies would be 3 categories. Easiest way to look at it would be 32 csv files.
However, there is a way around this. Put them in sub folders. eg within your POI folder create a sub folder for 'food', 'supermarkets' and 'speed cameras'
Put the relevent CSV and BMP files into each sub folder, tell POI loader to use the main POI folder and then you will have sub-categories in your garmin which match up to the sub folders you created.
