Received this in a newsletter about the imminent arrival of the Adventurer 3500. Main features:
- Ready to use 3.5" touchscreen GPS
- Waterproof (IPx7) & lightweight
- Full Great Britain 1:50,000 Ordnance Survey maps
- replaceable battery
- Bike mount, silicone sleeve, mains and car chargers included
£380 all in.
Right ravingdave,
Purchased one on the day of its release, previously owning the ad2800,
Anyway like the satmaps first introduction, lots of issues, but the biggest issue a lack of screenlock, this caused upteen problems if kept in the pocket or rucsac, unwanted commands would stop you tracking, move your position, even turn the unit off, not really a clever start from memorymap.
But i,m glad to report memorymap have just upgraded its unit, which as fixed most if not all of the grumbles posted on their own forum, and best of all a working screenlock, it does really make this a serious competitor in the handheld gps market.
Are there ay other forum members out there who owns the ad3500 and would like to participate in the ad3500 topic, it would be nice to gain knowledge from other owners.......... here,s hoping
