THIS TOPIC closed a year ago with the indication that it doesn't work. However, with SD card slot there may be some hope.
On second thoughts, I've just had a look at a website for it and it looks as though the POIs are inbuilt - I'd guess maybe the SD card slot is only for input of stuff like MP3s etc.
Maybe you can try the JVC Support page _________________ Dennis

There is a site called POIBase. Its primarily German I think but it seems to do a complete database of cameras for a very reasonable annual cost. NX7000 will show all of them and I have used mine all over the UK. Speed limit i.e. 30 / 50 / 70 etc shows up in close up view and there is an audio dingdong at about 1/2 mile and another one a bit closer. Havent worked out how to display my own (map) POIs yet tho. Hope this helps! |

What format are the files in? If you could send me a sample file I could take a look and see if we can offer our data in that format. _________________ Darren Griffin |

As anyone found how to import POI's into the JVC Sat Nav yet? Your can use StreetDirector and sync points to the SD Card but you have to pic them of a Map. I already have loads of POI's in various forms ( ov2, KLM, CSV) just be nice to upload them. Seems to be is a .PSF format ?? |
