Yes, it does. So long as you have it linked to your verifier account. When you download an update it will tell you there are 28,000 cameras on the server but download about 33,000. The extra are the verifiers ones. They show up grey on the map.

When the database is updated, you get notification of a new database when the app is opened.
However, if you are running the app, this warning does not seem to be given 'live' and you may not be aware of a later database until after the app has been closed and re-opened.
Would it be possible to incorporate this warning so that, as with camera alerts, it gives notification when the app is running?
As with camera audio alerts, could we also be given the choice of using a shortened version of the alert for new database release?
As previously mentioned, an icon to accompany the audio warning may be useful. _________________ Andy

Is it possible to have a speed limit icon for unknown?
I was passing pMOBILE:93096@unknown earlier today and, despite the warning at the bottom of the map for its distance/direction, there was no icon where the speed limit usually appears.
Could we perhaps have a question mark in a red circle, similar to the asterisk for variable? _________________ Andy

That icon exists, but we have stopped using it many versions ago. It does seem to confuse more than to help. _________________ Lutz

The way it works now looks like CA isn't working properly and I just ignored the warning until I got home and checked the submission map, so I would say the lack of an icon is more confusing.
The main database for TomTom does at least have a pMobile icon, so CA behaves totally differently and, if you're expecting these to be verified, then the verifier needs a simple prompt to check the submission is correct.
If a question mark for unknown is confusing, surely the asterisk for variable also causes confusion, but that's still used. _________________ Andy

I'm in agreement that no icon is surely more confusing than the '?' icon? _________________ Darren Griffin |

alright, alright, we'll put it back in. Keep in mind though that there will be no "unknown miles per hour" voice announcement, so you will have the audio/visual disconnect that made us remove the icon in the first place. _________________ Lutz

Will there be an audio alert at all? "Unverified Mobile Speed Camera ahead" or similar? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I think the audio was just "possible mobile", so there was an audible warning of some description, but obviously no speed limit. _________________ Andy

Pardon me, but why not? Is it too hard to do a TTS phrase "unknown speed limit"? (I hasten to add that I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to go about it, that's why I buy the app instead of creating it ) _________________ Dennis

How does the audible alert for variable work?
Could 'unknown' not work the same way? _________________ Andy

both only announce the camera type, without the speed value.
EDIT: Looks like we do have sound files for "variable speed" but not for "unknown speed". Let's see how we can fix that. _________________ Lutz
