Got the icons working but now have no audible warnings.
My original mapsettings.Cfg file is still there as my favourites have been kept.
This file gave me audible alerts on v 1.6.
Do I need to use a new mapsettings.Cfg file and loose all my favourites? _________________ -------------------------

I thought I had fixed the red icon issue but haven't.
Could anyone kindly send me the converted icons that work on version 1.7.
I appear to have two icons for each camera, a working one and a red square obscuring 90% of it. _________________ -------------------------

It sounds like you have two sets of icons loaded, one being correct the incorrect, remove any pocketgpsworld.........png file from your map folder and start again but only load the true 24 bit png files this time - Mike |

Thanks Mike. Will try tonight.
Do you know where I can get the true 24 png files from?
Also no sound warnings now. Do I need to load a new mapsettings.cfg file? _________________ -------------------------

I have the intension of rewriting the first post in the thread, but I think it might be better to start with a fresh new thread covering the revised instructions with new downloads etc, eitherway its not going to happen until this evening as I am off to work for the day - Mike |

Ash_P. Did you have to load a new mapsettings.cfg file to get the audible alerts working? _________________ -------------------------

Yes, audible alerts working by me!
But i have only load the "old" mapsettings.cfg from Version 1.6.
Have anyone here a working flashing Icon in the top left corner with Version 1.7? |

Doesn't work for me with mapsettings from 1.6 I get no icon display or audible alert. Need a dedicated mapsettings file for 1.7 |

Hi Mike,
Is there a realistic way for us to generate our own mapsettings.cfg file, or a way to transfer existing Favourites into the revised file PGPSW has made available for supporting speedcam alerting? _________________ iPhone 4/4S (iOS 5.1.1); TomTom Western Europe (1.10)/USA & Canada (1.10); CoPilot for iPhone (8), UK mapping, Mac OS 10.8/XP Pro/Win7; Tongue firmly in cheek! |

Updating from a previous thread on my problem. I have put the ogg files and the png files from the installation instructions plus the latest Ov2 files in the correct folder and all I get is a voice warning and a flashing red square with a small black triangle underneath instead of the icons. I also do not get a larger icon in the top left hand corner. I presume they are 24 bit png files.
Is this a problem with V1.7?
I have downloaded and converted lots of other POIs from this sitr from bmp to png and they appear on the map.
Any ideas please? Is this something to do with the map settings file which was for V1.6?

Update - used IrfanView and ticked the 24 bit box and now have icons on the road but nothing in the left hand corner.

All working on V1.7 except the larger icon in the top left corner. Even with 24 but .png files it fails to appear? |
