they do not show up on the map view when i travel on the road i checked the csv files and tried a few of the cameras listed no sign so just leave it at that because after all this time it is no different than when i first posted. I am quite bright and intelligent and have had sat navs for about 10 years and do understand them. |

And yet you refuse to accept that the issue is not with our data?
The offer still stands for you to send me your download - up to you. _________________ Darren Griffin |

It appears that jcbboy does not want to get his garmin working properly. All he seems to say, if I can read past his bright and inteligent punctuation, is that he downloads the latest data and certain cameras don't show up, and he does not seem to be prepared to give us the information needed to help him sort it out. |

Sort of related ......... I have been using my Garmin 2200 for about a week now and it's working fine apart from one small item that I'm going to try and solve myself.
I get all the advance verbal warnings for Gatso and Mobile Cameras but there is one camera near work that is recorded in the database as a 'RedSpeed' camera (Camera No 47390).
I can see the bmp on the map but I don't get a verbal warning from either direction.
Having looked at the POI Loader help I don't see RedSpeed mentioned so I'm wondering whether they've done some fancy footwork during the load to only recognize known names within the file and attach them to the associated wav file ?
I'm going to change the internal description to Gatso, reload, and see what happens. _________________ Satnav:

It may not be user error but the Garmin. I have been using Garmins for about the last 4 years along with Camera manager and never had any problem with a 255 and 765. I recently moved up to a 1690 and am now having problems with the speed camera database.
These include:
Bit map being shown but no audible or visible warning at all
Bit map being shown and only a 'bong' and a visible warning
No bit map, no audible and no visible warning
I checked that I had the bitmaps and audible warnings (both mp3 and wav) for each of the camera types. I do.
It was illustrated perfectly yesterday. I do not load the directional form of the database.
Going down from Blandford Forum to Poole it warned me of Gatsos on both sides of the road. On the way back it didn't warn me about anything. I checked the settings etc. just in case but they were correct.
Ho hum!

Kremmen,
I get a warning OK for RedSpeed 47390 on a demo run on my nuvi 255 using Ash10 CameraManager.
It gives out the normal warning for a Redlight camera.
