Use DiskAid to copy and replace the icons in your map folder with the ones in the zip download available on page one of this thread, there must be something wrong with the icons you installed the first time around - Mike |

Update it to the latest current release v1,6 as updates are free via iTunes, the version you have doesn't support the png custom POI files (it might work with bmp files but I have never tested this) - Mike |

bmp files will work with v1,4 and earlier, for v1,5 and later releases the files need to be bmp with the file extension renamed to png - Mike |

I have just upgraded to tomtom 1.7 and have had to re install the camera database.
however I now get just red squares insted of the correct image.
I used the pngs from the download on the first page.
has something changed? _________________ http://www.dees-fancydress.co.uk

Confirmed. I renamed all my *.png files back to *.bmp. I then used a free Windows program called IrfanView to batch convert them all to png files and ticked a box in IrfanView's advanced batch settings to convert to 24 bit (as I had a few that were only 8 bit). Uploaded them back to the iPhone and no more red squares when using v1.7

Updated to v1.7 and now seeing no speed camera icons. I used the 1.6 mapsettings.cfg file, I'm suspecting this isn't compatible with 1.7?
Edit: Forget that, I'd forgotten to copy over the ov2 files... now getting the red square icons. Will do the bmp to png conversion process.

The answer is a few posts further up this thread, you need to use 24 Bit png files post the V1,7, to make it easy to find the start point in the thread click Here and read down for the answer - Mike |

The problem was that I'd forgotten to copy the ov2 files, so as far as TT was concerned the POIs didn't even exist. |
