These work well for me, sorry they are miles,
Motorway 85 mph
International road 70 mph
Major road 60 mph
Secondary road 47 mph
Connecting road 45 mph
Important local road 40 mph
Local road 35 mph
Destination road 35 mph |

Hmm! Good job there aren't too many SpeedCams on motorways.

I think it's unrealistic to expect to maintain an average of 85 mph on a motorway. Similarly with the other road types.
I had mine set to similar to you, but effectively all it did was make TT3 prefer motorways (to the extent that if you put an avoid in on a big chunk of the M25 it would just route you off at the start of the avoid and back on at the end of it).
I went back to the defaults and it seems a lot better. |

With the default's I found it had too much of a preference for motorways over dual carriage ways, often wanting to take me a much longer route to use a motorway rather than what is a very fast dual carriage way. Raising the speeds for International and Major roads solved this.
Does anyone know what TomTom mean by International Road vs Major Road? Is International a dual carriage way? |
