The key thing I expect is to find a version for the same screen size as your 9000. Worth a try though. |

I'm not too sure about that. When I first got my 9800 I loaded a 9700 version. The 9800 is on OS6 and the 9700 version at the time was for OS5 I think. It worked, if not perfectly and both are 480 x 360.
Of course there was a certain amount of blind luck involved....

On the BB 8900 you can use the version for the 9700, this version works good on the BB 8900 - but as it's said before, the two devices have the same resolution (480x360).
The resolution on BB 9000 is 480x320 - I don't know if the version for the BB 9700 would work but as you said it's worth a try.
If the version for the 9700 doesn't work, there is a version (4.x NOT 5) especially for the 9000. |

Hi iliyajunev
Our friends on the forum are correct.
Different BB installations are indeed related to the device screen resolution.
Officially we're not supporting BB 9000 any more.
If the version for BB 9780 works on your 9000 then it's a fluke.
I can understand that functionality works - but I expect that some of the screens may be cut off since the 9780 has a higher resolution than the 9000.
We don't really encourage this since it could generate responses related to UI that aren't really justified since the installed version is not intended for that device - but if it works for you - enjoy.
Tks
