|

ok this week it's ATMs, or automated teller machines. I have noticed the database is lacking certain banks, such as:
Sainsbury's Bank (only 24 in the database)
Bank of Scotland (only 13)
Clydesdale (only 15)
Halifax (only 14)
And I'm sure there's others missing near you, so have a look on the map
here and find one to add!

I was under the impression that all Sainsburys stores had an ATM, certainly the ones I have visited have.
Do you really want 2 POI symbols on top of each other, if so I'll enter the 3 stores (with ATMs) that I know the exact locations of. _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

Independent bakery?
Remember not everyone downloads all the POIs. Perhaps some people are interested in the ATMs but dont care about supermarkets.
Also remember if someone wants to find the nearest ATM they dont want to have to check the ATM POIs and then the supermarket POIs to work out which is nearer! |

Ok, added one. It's Yorkshire Bank as I've no idea where any Sainsbury's Bank, Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale or Halifax ATMs are. I had to go 20 miles to find the Yorkshire Bank one (fortunately the petrol's much cheaper since the budget ) _________________ Paul |

Assuming you mean putting the ATM icon on top of the Supermarket one, then - No.
I think Richard prefers them as close as possible but not on top of each other. As each entry is manually checked anyway, he'll probably move any that are right on top of another, but it saves work if he doesn't have to do it. |

It doesn't actually let you put them directly on top of each other. |

Should it not be the POI Administrator who makes these decisions?
If a supermarket has a Link ATM then I personally can't see a need for zillions of POIs from every bank - but that's just my view.
Are you separating those which charge for withdrawals from those which are free? To me that is just as important as which bank the ATM belongs to _________________ Andy

Ok, I'm a little confused. I was just about to submit a couple of ATM's when -
On the basis that most, if not all, banks have an ATM, if the ATM is physically attached to the bank (in the wall or foyer) should the position of the ATM be listed under the POI category "Bank" thus saving the category "ATM" for machines located elsewhere i.e. at train stations, supermarkets, IKEA, etc.? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Currently we also include ATMs that are located at Banks. In theory, you're more likely to want an ATM than a Bank, so it saves having to search through 2 categories.
If the ATM is located in an external wall, it can be classed as 24hr, and available for everyone all the time, whereas an internal one might only be available when the premises are open. _________________ Richard

Can I also suggest we take a special look at Alliance & Leicester ATMs (& banks). Now that they have been taken over by Santander, I believe that all have been rebranded - they certainly have in my area. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |
