Damn.
Just to be clear my only requirement is to have any audible warnings of custom POIs, not custom warning sounds (as my 1st post could have been read that way)
Any recommendations? |

Most TTs have loud warning sounds, it is voice warnings that seem variable. If you don't want Live services, I think the XXL IQ is about the only option [out of the box operationally].
Edit: there are non-Live versions of the 100x/Via series, but I'm not sure of availability, and PoI loading takes a bit of time. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

I'm a douche as I can see my last post was also unclear. I'm happy to just use inbuilt bells/sirens etc and don't need custom warning sounds. I just need some sort of audible warning for custom POIs. |

I'm too late to order one online now so will need to pick up one from Halfords or similar tomorrow. So if anyone can point me in the direction of a suitable unit available in-store that would be much appreciated.
To elaborate, work will be paying for it, so I don't mind if it's a bit more expensive than online, and I don't need the latest and greatest models, just something with UK maps and the aforementioned custom POI warning capability.
I don't mind if I have to performe a software update to get the warnings, as long as it is possible to do. |

Tomtom XXL in Halfords at Sunbury, Twickenham, or Kingston. Has all the standard bells, bings, bongs, even a cow and a cuckoo.
Edit: it does have European mapping, but is the only model outside the 100x/Via range with standard menu for customising POIs. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

And you can put voice warnings on it later too, if you want to HEAR what the speed limit is as you approach the cameras.
Get themHERE, when you're ready. |
