Ok you clever people why is it in the settings box it shows as KPH and not MPH?,also seem tohave "double" icons on some camera locations ?

1. From the help file:

Quote:
Camera Manager looks at whether imperial or metric units were last used by POI Loader, and uses these as your native units

Either you last used POI Loader with metric units (kph), or more likely you haven't yet used POI Loader with imperial units (mph) - POI Loader defaults to metric.

2. Multiple POIs (or icons) at camera locations are for providing multiple warnings - for example, approach, overspeed, direction etc.

Missing something here! ... if the POI Loader (I take it you definitely DO mean that and not Camera Utility) settings box says 'KPH' can you not simply change it to 'MPH' (or is it not editable)?

As for the double camera icons, I have read here that this can be the result of reversible/two-way camera installations I think.

It sounds like you may have Options - Quit after checking if no database updates are found enabled.

When you say that you can't change any settings, is the system tray icon greyed out - ie: busy or accessing the internet?

Have you tried taking the tick out of the checkbox at Options - Quit after checking if no database updates are found?

Dales.

That behaviour is odd.

For me, the icon stays around for a good 30 seconds [ie plenty of time to start amending the settings] before the program quits and the icon leaves the system tray.

Since your copy of CameraManager.exe seems to be misbehaving (ie quits immediately, and unable to alter settings) perhaps it's become corrupt in some way. You could try deleting it and downloading another copy.

Or, wait for more advice from Ash10.

Dales.

Sound advice.

When Camera Manager is run, it should install its icon in the system tray (you may also see a brief flash of the settings window) - if you click on this icon, the settings window should open.

Thirty seconds after loading, Camera Manager will perform its first check for database updates - as mentioned above, this should give plenty of time to open the settings window. If autoquit is enabled, this will only happen after this initial delay (and subsequent check for updates).

If the icon never appears in the system tray, something is seriously wrong - use the Task Manager (Shift-Ctrl-Escape) to check if Camera Manager is actually running at this point.

Are you sure that the system tray icon is not just being hidden by Windows?
