I have successfully (I think) plotted all the way points I need by using Tyre to follow the route of a treasure hunt and transferred the ITN file to my TT510.
But I want to run a route demo from the start of the planned itinerary route not from my current location. I have tried all sorts of things at one time I thought I had seen the option but now cant get to it again any help appreciated.
When someone has found the solution for me I will add it to my aide memoir another recent tip I was given. |

The easiest way is to do a 'pin in the hole' reset and switch on.
If possible sit somewhere where the unit has trouble getting a satellite fix.
Go to Itinerary Planning, and select the Route you're planning to do. Select Done.
Press Yes for the Navigate There screen, then Done when you select the type of Route (if asked).
You should get a You do not have any GPS reception ..... message. Press Yes and choose the departure location you want to use.
Finally, when the route has been calculated select Details. Then, usually, Browse Map of route.
Note that this will recalculate as soon as you get a GPS fix. _________________ Richard

In my original post I did say that I thought I had seen the option once and I had as it came up again.
It is when the unit cannot get a satellite fix and it then asks where you want to start from, so I gave it the Favourite that takes me to the car park from where the treasure hunts starts and then off we went.
So I guess the answer is place your hand or perhaps a coin over the receiver area. |

Andy_P, that cat looks like it's saying to itself "Oh No!, it's not Monday again already is it?" _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
