Looks like the same spec as my JVC also bought from Halfords.
On mine, as long as you're playing music from your iPod and you're plugged into the USB, then the TT instructions can play over the car system, likewise CamerAlert. If you're playing the radio then no it will not. Yours may be different but I doubt it.
If you have the iPhone plugged into the USB that input will take priority, if you leave it plugged in and switch the source to radio, all input from the iPhone will cease, except when like mine you have bluetooth set up to use the phone.
Hope that helps. _________________ Mike

thanks for the reply
I wonder if it will work fine with spotify playing (offline tracks) instead of the main Ipod tracks. I currently use an FM transmitter, and apart from the annoying buzzing you get when it's accessing the network, the Iphone routes music from other apps differently to the main Ipod app.
So if I was playing spotify, if TT didn't say anything for 5 mins, then the FM transmitter would go into sleep mode and you'd lose connection, whereas the main Ipod app would be fine. |

Will it definitely output the sound of TomTom as well as the Iphone IPOD music ? |
Yes, when the iPhone/iPod input is selected. No, when Radio/CD source is selected.
But load your iPhone with music, and use that as your jukebox and job is a good 'un. _________________ Darren Griffin |

If it comes out of the iPhone loudspeaker, it'll come out of the stereo, so yes, Spotify will work. _________________ Darren Griffin |
