For some reason the unit will not switch on.
Was working fine.
Before you ask,it has not been dropped or got wet.
I dont understand it.
Battery has been fully charged, and I have charged and fitted the battery cradle to try aswell, but still no joy ?
Any thoughts ? |

Will it fire up if you disconnect the battery for a minute or two then reconnect it ?
Is the very poor battery connector damaged in some way,it is not very robust ?
I should remove any map cards from the unit in case they get corrupted.

The only thing I can suggest is a call/e-mail to Satmap.
If it has to be returned their turn around time is pretty quick.
The unit has a two year warranty if this applies to you.

Yes,it was bought last year from a shop.
Just a pain in the backside, not overly impressed with the thing.
First fault I had was the rubber usb cover breakig off a while back, now this latest power fault.
Not sure I would buy another one,its hardly been used !! |

I know I shouldnt, but I have just took the satmap unit apart.
After splitting the main case (four srews),I found another white plug.
I pulled it apart, and plugged it back in again.
Screwed the thing back together again (watch out for the o rings on the screws)
Hey presto its alive again ?
Must be a loose connection,hooray. |
