I know there are pretty pictures on the TT website but is there a definitive list of countries covered in each zoned map?
ie Europe_North, Europe_South, Europe_West, Europe_East, Europe_Central?
That doesn't seem to make the zones clear though which were introduced in the latest "too large to fit Europe into 2Gb" maps. Those can be seen clearly in TomTom home IIRC, if you select the Info button.
I believe franb refers to the coverage of each zone of the zoned maps (not the full map).
One way is to enlarge the "pretty pictures" of the Tomtom website and then use an Europe atlas to compare.
AFAIK there is not other easy way to find the exact coverage. But, if I'm not mistaken, when you use Tomtom Home to actually install one of the zones, you should be able to see a list of Countries when you select "more info"

Yes, exactly what I was trying to find out (without having to revert to the paper atlas route)
I'm not intending to buy the zoned maps just to find out through TTHome what countries each of the zoned maps covers and was hoping someone around here already knew the answer.
Oh well, guess it's another one for Customer Support.
1. Select your device (for this example we're using a GO 950 LIVE).
2. Which map would you like? There are three maps of the world, as you're asking about Europe, you need to use the Europe, Middle East & Africa section, below that is a drop down box for "Select your map"
Once you have selected your map (you're not paying for anything at this stage), you'll get the map stats. E.g.:

BUT, with the new larger capacity maps that don't fit on the devices internal memory Home now offers the European map in one of four zones, these zones are different to the specific maps listed above - Mike

Hmm, that not good that TomTom Home and TomTom web site have different map zones, talk about apples & oranges!

You are confusing two different things: maps that cover different zones in Europe (e.g Southern Europe) and full Europe maps that CAN (if you need to) be divided in zones when you install them (e.g. Europe South).
They HAVE NOT the same coverage (e.g. Southern Europe is different from Europe South)
Tomtom website only gives details for maps, not for zones.

Exactly; hence my original question.
Areas are one thiing but Europe_*ZONE* (*N, *S, *E, *W, *C) are something totally different.
