Buying my first Satnav - Advice?

Apologies, I think I posted this in the wrong place initially..

I'm in the process of trying to purchase my first ever sat nav.. I'm not entirely sure what I am looking for but I would like a relatively new model that is compatible with the pocket GPS speed camera software as that is my main reason for buying - although I do think its time I got a Sat Nav also. It would be handy if it was one that is easy to download the PGPSW speed camera software on to.

I have trawled the internet for around 15 hours in the past week and there are so many models that I just can't decide. Its a minefield out there!

I would like UK/European Maps and something that is pretty competent with speed camera alerts - both visual and voice as that is one of my main reasons for buying. Some nice little extras would be good but not essential..

A hands free mobile phone function would be an advantage.

Also, something that displays the current road speed limit and current speed would be nice.

Maybe something that auto updates without connecting to a PC.

My apologies if this is not specific enough but part of the problem is I'm not certain what I should be looking for!

I would be grateful if you guys could give me some advice on what to go for. Is there anything you could recommend?

My budget is fairly flexible - I have been looking around the £150-200 mark. Obviously a good model for less would be great but I would also pay a bit more for the right model.

Have a look at the Go-750 Live refurb from Here don't be put off by the refurn part the ones I have seen are just as good as new, they look like they have replaced the screen or its never been out of the box! In addition get a 4GB MicroSD card for it so you can update the full map rather than installing a dumbed down zonal one.

It does everything on your wishlist, even the updates without connecting to the PC but only for certain files, for most updates the device does still need connecting to a computer with an internet connection, its got handsfree, speed limit of the road is on the screen (where known) as your own true road speed and the maps are full Western_Europe but please note what I said about a MicoSD card for the device.

There is also the Go-750 without the Live services for £10 less, to be honest whilst the Live version is available for £149 its well worth getting, at the end of the 12 month free Live access its your choice as to whether you take out a subscription to continue the Live services or simply let them drop, the device is fully useable without the Live connection - Mike
