|

Hi all
Apologise in advance as I think this was covered some time ago!
Is there an easier way of starting TT3 with BT. At present I'm having to turn on BT, then BT manager to switch on my fortuna, then open TT3.
In the GPS screen there is a square in the top left, if I hold the stylus on this for say a minute or 2 a tick appears. This has the effect of starting the BT but it locks the Ipaq up.
Also what function does the 'snooze' slider and 'speaker' slider perform?
cheers in advance

There are 2 methods that I use.
A.Turn on bluetooth / Open TT (this will open the bluetooth manager if you are not already connected to the clip-on) / select the clip-on.
The other method requires the installation of a small app. (see the link below)
http://www.handango.com/servlet/d/btregtweak14setup.exe?s=1&p=96903&secw=6fde417a
After installing and performing a soft reset, you just turn on bluetooth and then open TT. The clip-on will automatically connect.
The snooze slider to the right, keeps the GPS connected if the iPAQ goes into standby and turns vice-versa when to the left.
The speaker slider turns on/off a beep when a GPS fix is obtained. |

I should have added that after installing the BT tweak, you need to open the programme and select "automatic mode" and select your iPAQ model. |

Hi drummer, many thanks for the info.
Out of interest, I am about to buy the Anquet mapping software, as you will probably be aware for other parties software to use the gps receiver you have to delete the TT gps program in 'remove programs' once. With me allocating TT to 'find' the receiver, will this cause any problems with Anquet?

You should be fine. The BT reg fix does not lock TT to the GPS, it just automatically connects the GPS to the bluetooth serial port instead of opening the bluetooth manager.
