I've had the Standard Power Bundle for over a year (not sure exactly how long) and now the battery won't charge. The screen display suggests that is charging OK, but once you disconnect the charger (even after 8 hours of being on charge) the battery life is only one green bar that quickly turns red.
I guess this means that the battery needs replacing. At most I use it once a week, so this feels like a very short life compared to normal rechargable batteries. And a replacement battery is £30.63!!
Has anyone had this problem and/or got any thoughts? |

Only stabbing in the dark but might it be the charger ?
Could you possibly borrow a battery from someone else and try it out,or use your charger on their Satmap ?
Contacting Satmap may be of assistance before you pay out for another battery.
I have had mine well over a year and still OK.

From my experience of using li-poly batts with rc cars and helis its a gonna I’m afraid. Even though its difficult to do with the standard batt gauge on nav devices etc, the batt should be left at about 70% charged when not in use to give the batt a longish life. As you may know, the batts are made up of several cells depending on the voltage, and its usually just one cell that dies. |

Have a look at the Satmap warranty,it seems to be for two years.
http://www.satmap.co.uk/warranty.php
It specifies it only covers hardware, not software, which I imagine covers batteries.
Can't see anywhere where it specifically excludes the Li-Pol battery.
Might be worth a shot,Satmap aren't a bad company to deal with.
