|
|
Hi, new to all of this, trying to get to grips with all the features of TT3 and BT gps. Great site and loads of useful info.
Played about with the prog and menus, I've even gone all through the TT3 manual on CD and cant find info on how to create my list of favourites.
Can I enter postcodes using Ukpostcodes prog then saving output as a Favourite ? Is there a way of looking up an address and saving it without the GPS on or actually visiting the place ?
It seems a simple enough task, but I'm stumped.
Any help gratefully appreciated

You can add favourites a number of ways:
Using UK Postcodes: enter a postcode then select "Show on map", then hold the stylus down at the cursor position until you are presented with a menu that will include "add to favourites".
The other way is to select "find" from the menu, then select what you want to search for (address, POI, recent location etc), find the location you are looking for, then you will see another menu on screen with various options, the first of which is "Add to favourites". ![Thumbs Up](modules/Forums/images/smiles/custom2.gif) |

Thanks Drummer, it was easy after all :D
I'll give it a go tomorrow, when I'm sitting in the next traffic jam
Next task is to get TomTom traffic going

Our advice is not to use Favourites except for your 'Home' and possible 'Work' entry.
Instead, create a new POI File and add all your locations into that, better still create multiple POI files e.g. Family, Friends, Clients etc. This then creates .ov2 files with the same name in the Map folder and these can be backed up easily. They are also not subject to the 20 entry limitation that Favourites has ![Thumbs Up](modules/Forums/images/smiles/custom2.gif) _________________ Darren Griffin |

I use only one favourite, Home so you can quickly set navigation to take you home. I then use the POI like described above, for all friends and family. ![Thumbs Up](modules/Forums/images/smiles/custom2.gif) _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6
