That worked a treat !!
all working now and by the way the nuvi 3760t has to have the files converted into mono wav format to work it doesent accept mp3 as i tried both.

Can't win em all! I was too busy worrying about audio formats!
In case it's useful for others, can you remind us what you ended up with in terms of sample frequency and bit depth of the wav files (and I'm sure they can be stereo too) |

If it helps, mine have an audio sample rate of 44 kHz (ie a Project Rate of 44100 Hz in Audacity).
The other details are at the Audacity default level (ie no other settings required when Exporting).
Bit Rate 705 kbps, Audio sample size 16 bit mono.
I'm sure somebody once offered to post a set of wav files on this PGPSW site. People would appreciate it.
