On the M621 from Leeds to M62 there are some 40 average speed cameras and I think the last one doesn't turn off correctly as it says I am over speeding at 40 for the rest of the way. |

Then you need to flag this as a possible issue via the camera reporting page, or send an email detailing it to cameras[at]pocketgpsworld.com
When this happens, tapping the average speed readout on the display will cancel it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

all these cameras are marked correctly as start, middle and end...
is CamerAlert in the background or foreground when the alert still carries on?
also, as a side-note, if this happens you can tap the speed or average speed and it will cancel the average speed alerts.

The above problem sounds the same as my 50 mph overspeed warning continuing as reported under the above subject title.
Anyone else having this problem?

CA is in the background with Navigator in the foreground. |

i will try test this later today if i get chance.
'hellybob' and 'LittleDuceCoupe' - does it give the 'All Clear' sound and carry on alerting for overspeed? or does it not even give the All Clear?

I did not get the "All Clear" as far as I remember.
For information I was using the CamerAlert version that was updated from the link that Mike sent out to us beta testers. Just now, having powered-down my phone and then re-started, I seem to have lost all trace of this version? I guess I will have to take the plunge and fork-out that massive 59p in the Market to get the updated version.
Will this then "auto update" as further versions are developed?

You shouldn't have, and could always re-install the one we sent you, but the Market version is newer and there isn't much point in us debugging an issue if you don't have the latest version.

HellyBob,
Are using the latest CamerAlert from the Market? Maybe my problem was caused by me still having the beta version app, even though I had downloaded the latest database several times. _________________ Regards,

Hi
I had a similar problem, first time I have had it running on a longer journey
M6 south Birmingham after the roadworks near fort Dunlop, It kept saying 50, I had travelled from central Manchester. could not shut it up Stopped (exit) and re started and it still did it. It was not untill the program had been close for quite some time did it clear. Saturday I drove from Canterbury to Central London. after passing through the Blackwall tunnel it kept saying 30. If I was passing another speed camera for example a40 one it would say 40 untill the all clear then go back to 30 most anoying.
Had to turn it off again
Running it on a Desire and I was running google latitude at the same time.
Only using maps on the latitude speed camera warnings only from camera alert. |

We are looking at this to see if there is a bug when it is run in the background.
Was it an average speed alert that 'kept saying 50' or a speed camera alert that was stuck?
If it's the average speed readout, as explained in the manual, tapping the average speed display panel will cancel the average speed calculation and display. _________________ Darren Griffin |
