|
|
I've searched the forums and can't find the answer.
With out resorting to rooting my device, is there an application that let's me take screen shots of CamerAlert?
Or does CamerAlert have the function to take screen shots of itself?
Thanks _________________ Robert.

http://androidforums.com/sprint-hero-tips-tricks/15204-how-do-i-take-screenshot-android-htc-hero-specifically.html
I have cut and paste the above link from Android Forums.
Apparently there is no App for unrooted Android Phones.
A trawl of Android Forums gives quite a few screen shot examples and it does work on 1.5 - 2.1, not sure about others.
If you scroll through the link (if it works) you will see a post showing how to do it.
If this is not allowed, apologies, and please delete.

i rooted my hero (i can't help give a childish snigger whenever i say/type that!) so i used the ShootMe app - however, as 253 mentions, it can be difficult without having root access.
if you set up the android development stuff on your computer i think you can get screenshots that way but obviously that wouldn't work if you were in the car, miles away from home!

If you're more the tethered type you can do screenshots from the Android SDK, with DDMS. _________________ Lutz

Hi 253, MaFt, and Lutz,
Thanks for your replies and suggestions.
I don't really want to root my device. I'll have a look a Lutz's suggestion.
Many thanks, _________________ Robert.

hi Privateer,
If you click the link above, about half way down the forum there is an explanation how to do the SDK way. The author says it's for Windows PC only, so don't know if it works on a Mac.

Cheers, Lutz. I was going to have a dabble over the weekend, strange that a screen shot facility/app is not available.
Maybe in later versions.
