New release of Navigon for IOS, IPAD screen full use, lane guidance, changed screens, fixed disappearing menus, can select exact location on the map and add to navigation now, POIs search via google built in........ overall good additions/fixes.
Still think this is one of the best IOS apps, |

Any way of restoring the TTS voice to the lovely lady from previous version?
Can't stand the male version; sounds like he's about to say, "Mind the gap"! |

Responding to many popular demands on Facebook, Navigon said Quote: | in order to maintain the quality standards across countries and regions, we had to increase the languages and tones we cover. We therefore have a new global voice provider that delivers this extended coverage at a high quality level. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience and are looking into offering additional voices in the future...we are looking into offering additional voices in the future. So stay tuned a bit longer | That was on 6 January. _________________ David

It sounds like it may be very like Garmin's "Daniel". What I've got on my PND sounds identical. Navigon's 'new global voice provider' is now Nuance, same as with Garmin (I assume they still provide their voices).
I seem to be in a very small minority in preferring the clarity of the new male voice, mainly because of my Mutt&Jeffness, I suppose. _________________ David

It may be me, but in the new Version, it takes you to the 'enter an address or poi' screen, if you just want the map there (and moving of course) maybe using 3d or pana, how do you change the screen without doing a calculation ? Sometimes it seems it responds to a double tap in the screen......... but other times nothing at all, also until you can get out of this can't use IPOD controls, in the older version you went straight to map and then selected to calculate ? Any advice or where I have missed the point, welcomed. |

On start-up? It has always done that?

on mine I have from top to bottom:
Enter an Address
Search for POI
Take Me Home
Show Map
then, along the bottom:
Main Menu / Contacts / Recents / Favourites / More
although these are configurable by pressing 'more' and then 'edit'
What do you see? |
